Fonterra Edendale Electrode Boiler Official Opening

Windsor Managing Director & CEO, Philip Gedye, joined by Nigel Martin (General Manager), Cameron Marett (Sales Engineer) and Peter Stewart, Director of Calder Stewart (Windsor’s key building subcontractor on the project), were proud to attend the recent official opening of Fonterra’s first electrode boiler at their Edendale site.

Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Simon Watts, alongside Fonterra Chief Operating Officer Anna Palairet, cut the ribbon on the plant which will reduce Edendale’s carbon emissions by an impressive 20%. That’s around 47,500 tonnes of CO₂ each year!

Feedback from Fonterra’s operations and maintenance teams has been overwhelmingly positive. They’re thrilled with the boiler’s reliability, simplicity, efficiency and its quiet performance delivering steam right throughout the dairy season.
